DAWN DORLAND PERRY

Dawn Dorland Perry was born in rural Iowa to a farmer's daughter and a librarian. She won the 2nd grade award for "Most Polite" and went on to graduate from Scripps College and Harvard Divinity School, where she did fieldwork with people living with HIV/AIDS. She has worked as a TV producer and a florist, and after five years of workshopping fiction at Grub Street, is attending the MFA program at the University of Maryland with full funding this fall.

Her flash fiction piece "Do Us Part" appears in the July 2011 issue of The Drum.
